Strategic Advisor

Working as a Strategic Advisor to the Trust for more than a year, supporting and advising the CEO directly on a range of projects that were focused on increasing visitor numbers and driving revenue from operations. This helped the organisation navigate through a difficult period as it faced financial pressure as a result of inflation and the cost of living crisis.

Key projects included supporting members of the leadership team and their staff with a new admissions and membership strategy to drive both volumes of visitors and yields. This included a new online ticketing platform.  This also included introducing and managing a new CRM system to drive sales from return visits and memberships. 

Support for the CEO also involved reviewing and relaunching the event and associated marketing strategies to increase visitor numbers and tackle seasonality, including at both Lilidorei and The Alnwick Garden itself.

Finally, the Strategic Advisor role also included leading a review of Health and Safety across the organisation. This included writing a new comprehensive H&S policy and introducing new risk management procedures including a new system for recording and investigating incidents and carrying out Fire Risk Assessments.
